Structured wiring

Technology changes at a blink of an eye and if your home doesn't have the proper infrastructure for wirnig, it can not change with the times. More than ever before new homes must be wired for now and the future.

Cablevision, Satellite, Internet, Ethernet, Telephone, DSL, VOIP, Security, survailence, Inwal/ceiling speakers, Home entertainment, Satellite radio. These and more are what you need to think about when building a house. What rooms, what location in the room and will you need them now or maybe later. With out the proper wiring in place the home will not accomodate when needed.

The key to this is proper planning and structured cable. It is the foundation for future proofing your home and will let you change or add as needed with ease.

What is structured cable?

Structured cable is the foundation of Low voltage product. It consists mainly of RG6, Cat5e and speaker wire run to strategic locations from a central point in the home. We use a bundle cable that consists of 2-Quad sheilded RG6 cables and 2-Cat5e cable. We like to run at least 1 bundle from each room to the utility room where all the wire is neatly terminated in a structured cabinet. Each room has a 4-port plate consisting of 2-F connectors (1 for Cable/satellite distribution and the other for video/survailence or cable internet etc). 1- RJ11 phone jack and an RJ45 ethernet jack for house networking.

We also run speaker wire from a distribution point in the utility room to a volume control at each location then to the speakers in the ceiling or wall. Each location is documented for future installation of product. That way you don't need buy all the equipment at once.
